About Miss Meredith: Welcome to our classroom! I
graduated from St. Ambrose University with a bachelor’s degree in early
childhood education with a special education endorsement, as well as a minor in
psychology. This is my first year teaching at Children's Village Hayes and I
LOVE IT! I am so blessed to get the chance to help children grow each day!
Outside of teaching: I was born and raised in Quincy, IL
and moved to Davenport, IA to attend St. Ambrose University. While I was at St.
Ambrose I played soccer for 4 years. I now love to stay active and enjoy
playing or watching any sport. I also enjoy running 1/2 marathons, I hope to
run a full marathon this spring. My family is a huge part of my life, as I am
the second oldest of seven children. On top of that, I love reading, being on
the lake with friends and family, country music, and eating various types of
food...especially sushi!About Miss Abby: I attended Blackhawk College where I recieved an Associates degree in Applied Arts. While figuring out what to do next, I combined my passion of traveling with work and joined Americorp in Miami, Florida. There I worked closely with environmental and conservation needs and had wonderful opportunities to work with youth in the community; which is where I developed an interest in working with children. I have been working at CVHayes for over four years and love working here. I have further plans to continue my education.
When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I love to camp and spend time outdoors. My other interests include: my love and interest for animals, painting, and crafting, I have especially enjoyed painting the banners for CV Hayes classrooms.
